Simon started his career in 2001 at a Lloyds of London syndicate called 'Wellington Underwriting’ as part of a work placement for his BA degree. Assisting casualty insurance underwriters at the box on a portfolio of UK and North American business.

In 2007, he joined ‘QBE
Australia’ to underwrite a financial lines portfolio of private Australian and ASX 100 companies. With a focus on asset managers, stockbrokers, insurance companies, mortgage brokers, finance companies, building societies and custodians.
In 2012, he joined ‘Chubb’ to manage a financial lines portfolio, responsible for delivering on financial targets and implementing a underwriting, pricing and marketing strategy. In addition, to developing the blended management liability product and distribution channel via the Ignite platform.
In 2018, he the founded ‘Insurance Direct Group Solutions’ to leverage his knowledge and experience within the market to develop a digital insurance broker to challenge and improve upon the standard market practice to the benefit of his stakeholders.
Over the course of his career he has continually sought to improve his professional development with a range of insurance and management courses. He has been awarded the Chartered Insurance Institute Advanced Diploma ‘ACII’.
